The group
Baljits Hospitality Group operates Indian fine-dining rooms in Oslo. Multiple concepts, one family setting the standard — family hospitality in Norway since 1982, with New Delhi established in 1985.

Leadership
Baljit Singh Padda did not enter hospitality from the outside. He grew up inside it — on the floor, in the kitchen, beside his father Gurdial Singh, learning service as a rhythm before it became a business. Today his work is less about opening restaurants and more about building rooms people remember.
He leads a large hospitality team across several Oslo venues, working with property and hospitality partners on long-horizon openings. The group is privately owned and reinvests in new rooms, training and the people who run them.
What the group runs on
01
From Gurdial Singh's first kitchen in Punjab in the 1970s to Baljit Singh Padda running Oslo's leading Indian rooms today — the standards have been handed down, not learnt.
02
Spices from trusted Indian suppliers, produce from Norwegian farms. Centralised buying across the kitchens for consistency.
03
Head chefs trained inside the group. Long tenure, low turnover, consistent service from one room to the next.
04
Annapurna Certificate from the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (presented April 2025). Repeated press recognition across VG, DN and Aftenposten.

For partners
We operate Indian rooms that pay rent on time, generate covers seven nights a week, and become anchors for the buildings they live in. If you own or develop hospitality real estate in Oslo or beyond, talk to us.
